Debate on “Development of cross-border cooperation between Greece and Bulgaria in the Rodopi mountain range”

42408756_2206400106255499_1984955114787438592_nOn the occasion of the European Green Belt Days two environmental organizations from Greece and Bulgaria, ‘Callisto’ and ‘Balkani Wildlife Society’ organise a public debate on “Development of cross-border cooperation between Greece and Bulgaria in the Rodopi mountain range.”
The main focus of the discussion will be the necessity to protect the Rhodope Mountain Range ecosystems on both sides of the border and the evolution of different protection regimes to a Transboundary Protection Area.
The event will take place at 10:30 on Friday, September 28, 2018, at the Rodopi Natural History Museum in Paranesti, Drama.
The costs for the event are covered by the German environmental organisation ‘Euronatur’, which has the role of Regional Coordinator of the Balkan Green Belt.

Entrance is free to the public.

After the presentations, a debate will be held.
